In order to guarantee the safety and conservation of the panel painting “Madonna col Bambino e Santi, Angeli e Federico da Montefeltro” by Piero della Francesca, owned by Pinacoteca di Brera, Arterìa Safe Tech crafted and installed a very specific showcase. Made of a solid metal structure, the vitrine is sealed and can therefore be considered a quite big climaframe type where the RH is passively controlled via the use of Artsorb sheets as well as monitored via the use of a built-in datalogger. Looking at the structure, the existence of a vitrine is almost indiscernible: only the depth of the original frame of the panel has changed of 100mm to allow the glass being added to it.
